CHRISTMAS 2021

                                              MERRY CHRISTMAS

                                    2021

Hi to you all, I don't even know where to begin, cuz it seems like we just had these holidays a short time ago. Firstly, excuse the large print...... that's cuz my eyes are having a problem. they don't like adding up all these years! Nope, glasses only help so much.

Some things stay the same but done differently, if that makes sense. The Tappers found a studio so we could keep on dancing and keeping in shape. Bob does the VA Foundation Board on Zoom. I like Zoom to stay in touch with some and be able to see them.  I use Instacart when I don't feel like going shopping for food, unless I want to find something special. Letting someone else  (and Bob too!) do the usual stuff spoiled me a bit. I used the time to do the scrapbook and photo album catch-up. No travel or trips but will make up for it this next year.
We, like a lot of people, lost friends during this year. We are thankful we had such good friends for so many years. Many wonderful memories and pictures to remind us.
Sons,Mike and Craig came to visit for a couple days. Loved having them here. Each, and their families, are well and busy. Craig's son, Luke, as most of you know, after his accident, and head surgery, is doing great.  He's back at  school and therapy too. Had us really worried for awhile but a strong young 15 year old, and all the prayers helped.

The Tappers had a Christmas gathering at Hope's , our Choreographer, house. this time we let the husbands come too!!!

We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to a healthy, happy, New Year. As usual ,we're staying home for New Year, in front of TV, WITH NO MASK!!💕💋😊

A BABY SHOWER PRODUCTION!!! AND BOB MEETS 'TOM CRUIS

One of the Tappers was becoming a first time Grandmother..... so she put on a terrific shower party. Music, entertainment, great food, plenty of gifts..... and the Impersonator: Tom Cruise in the Top Gun setting. Fun for Bob  especially, as he got to meet the real Tom Cruise when we did a very small bit on Top Gun 2...... finally to be out in May of 22, as far as we know.

Then we had another party... Our Toe Tappers had a gathering at Hope's house (our Choreographer). And we invited husbands to come too. Had a fun time.  Don't get to chat like this when we are rehearsing.
I'm the one in blue sweater, second from right...  if you couldn't find me. Bob in the very back...

THE UNEXPECTED......

We got a call from Craig and Marie that Luke, 15, was hit be a car. Needless to say... shock and upset, to say the least. However, as most of you know, since I reached out to the world for prayers. He was treated quickly for the head injury so the healing has been advancing nicely. He is home and in therapy, both occupational and for memory among other things. Without going into detail, he is doing great. Not playing soccer but he likes going to the game and being the 'assistant' coach.

We got together with our party planner, Marlene, and the 'usual suspects' for a party. Always fun and entertaining, A bit of Halloween.

November, of course, most everyone is looking forward to Thanksgiving. Since family isn't close, we had some neighbors and a friend from out of town, come to a turkey dinner. It was a nice warm day so we had it on the patio. Had a great time and had enough for the next couple days!!

KEEPING BUSY IS HEALTHY.....

A long ago working mate in the Navy made contact and had a fun reunion. It's the nice thing about having time in this situation to reach out to friends you haven't heard from or see for a long time. And Zoom, of course, has made it easy for Bob's Board meetings. I'm seeing friends via Zoom, Skype, FB, and FaceTime. ||There are some good things about the high tech.

We went to see friends in Minden, NV, and to help get ready to move to Racine, WI. They have relatives there.  Hhhmmm wonder how they will like that weather there!!

Very good friend, Rhoda, and husband, Pete, came over  for a visit.

We're glad Mika likes looking at our flag too.

My very long time friend, Imo, celebrating her birthday

HOUSE & DOG SITTING FOR FRIENDS

We went to house sit for our friends, the Halseys for a week. not too far away but a nice outing from home.

Both Mika, and their dog, have fun playing and going on the walks around the neighborhood.

NICE VISIT WITH THE BOYS

WE had a couple nice visits from Mike and Craig, and Grandson, (Craig's son),Luke. Luke was here in San Diego with his soccer team. Yes, got to go see him play. A couple days before that, had a nice lunch on our patio.

HERE WE GO INTO 2021...LET'S SEE HOW THIS GOES

As I look at the calendar ,  it doesn't seem very interesting, plus the fact that my eyes are getting a bit worse, so I can't even read my own writing!! The first few months just getting into a routine is busy enough. A good thing is I have two or three of the Tappers here one day a week and we rehearse out on our patio. Different dancing in tennies, or anything other than tap shoes. At least we are getting some exercise in and learning a couple new dances.

The Zoom works for Bob's meetings with the VA Foundation Board. Then the usual appointments here and there.....(we don't like talking about those!!)  Mika to the groomer, then pick up this and that.... and when we don't feel like going out I get online and order via Instacart!
