AROUND HOME

Doing things around home means anything between Bonsall and San Diego. Even going up to the little city of Fallbrook, which has become a habit now that my brother Gene lives there. That's only 10 minutes away. We're also close to the gates of Camp Pendleton. A couple of the Charities we are involved in is NCWS, North County Warrior Support. Bob co founded that with some mechanic friends and they do everything that is needed for the deployed families and those in need for the enlisted, on their cars. That's from tires to engines and whatever is needed, for FREE! Their website is www.ncws.org. There you will see all of what they do, including a full Christmas, and bring Santa too. The other one is Sodiers Who Salsa. I'm the Pres of the Board on that one and Bob is on the Board too. It's been going on almost a year. It was started by Mary Murphy, of So You Think You Can Dance TV fame. One of the teachers, Jennifer, teaches the Salsa. It is through Physical Therapy at the Navy Hospital, the wounded that have come back and it helps with resocializing and getting close with their partners. The saying on the website is 'Healing Heros one dance step at a time'. The site is www.soldierswhosalsa.org.

On one of the trips to San Diego, and stopping by Little Italy for a capuccino, we drove out to see the seals in the La Jolla cove.
